For the 2nd film at your Community Club given the season, what better time to show Frank Capra’s Xmas classic ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ on Saturday 23rd December at 2pm (doors open 1.30pm). I know most of you will be familiar with the story of George Bailey (played in a heart breaking performance by James Stewart), a man in deep despair who is shown an alternate reality of how his family and friends would have been affected if he had never been born. However, given it was released in 1946, how many of you would have been around and had the chance to see it on the big screen – apart from maybe some of the committee members!?
So please, come along and share one of the all-time great films with friends and family and start the Xmas season with a warm feeling inside….perhaps caused by a glass or 2 of red wine! This is a free showing to encourage potential new members to come along (but as always donations welcome) so please extend the invitation to your nearest and dearest.
Hope to see you at the club soon and wishing you all a merry Christmas and happy New Year.
