Our vision to attract as many people into the game as possible is well reflected in our members: we have a wide range of ages, abilities and backgrounds in our club, who mix well together.
Our club is unusual in that the average age of our members is probably around 40-45, unlike many other clubs whose members are often much older. Some people come to play and relax at the end of their working day. Older people can come and play without the formality which is often a feature of more traditional bowling clubs. Children under 16 are free and we welcome families to come and play, and we have sets of smaller bowls suitable for children. However, we do ask that children and youngsters under 16 are accompanied by a responsible adult when they come to play.
You can bring your own bowls, or we have sets for you to use at the club.
Rules of the game are available for those who wish to play more competitively. We are affiliated to Somerset Bowls Association and we can arrange coaching for those who want to improve their skills
