That was a great 110th Birthday!

Bowls
With Band, Buffet and Bowls this was a lovely occasion.  The Ravens Marching Band played some stirring music.  We had some members of our predecessor club join us in the whites and they were given a challenging game from the Visually Impaired Bowlers.  The Deputy Lord Mayor said a few words and cut the cake.  Those of us who watched were mightily entertained whilst we supped. A Celebration of 110 years of Bowls in the Park Saturday 16th 2-5pm

Bowls
To mark the 110th anniversary of a club on our green we are holding a celebration. All are welcome - non members, members, or a member of another club who has played at our lovely green in times gone by. Please join us. There will be music from the Marching Community Scout Band, The Ravens, who will be playing some old time favourites. There will also be refreshments on sale in the form of sandwiches, cream teas, sponge cakes, and soft and alcoholic drinks from our licensed bar. And, as always, there will be the opportunity for everyone to play bowls! Given that we will be celebrating an event which originated in the Edwardian era, you might like to come in Edwardian attire.
